Creating Assessments from AI or Existing Material
There are many different ways to create assessments in Knowt whether it's from flashcards, notes, directly from AI or from scratch.
When creating the assessment with AI you can choose the main topic, and use the "Improve for me" feature to write a more detailed prompt. Once it's all set just press the "Create" button and wait for the draft of the assessment to be ready!
Editing assessments and Questions
There are 3 question types in assessments: multiple choice, true/false, and short answer. When creating assessments from scratch, for each question you can choose a question type, and then either make it with a specific prompt to the AI or create it entirely manually. You can also change existing questions this way or add more questions to existing assessments!
For all question types you will be able to have the question, an additional stimulus like an image, passage, a graph, etc. Each question also has a custom point value that can be assigned to it.
For short answer questions you will need to provide a short rubric of how the student's answer should be graded. For multiple choice questions you can add up to 4 answer choices for the student to select from. For True False questions you just need to mark the answer from the provided dropdown.
Any of the AI generated questions can be edited, whether to add a stimulus, edit point values, the question, or answer. You can also completely regenerate the question if needed.
Assigning and grading Assessments
Once the assignment is created it isn't automatically assigned, you can choose to add it to a class and assign it, or start a knowt play directly from the assessment you created!
To assign the assessment, choose the class and sections for it if it's not set already, and customize the time they can start it, how many attempts they should get, if it should be graded, and if the grade should show for the student automatically!
