How does grading and scoring work?
There are 3 types of questions available in Knowt Play: multiple choice, true/false, and short answer. The multiple choice and short answer questions are graded based on correctness, and players will gain points according to the game mode. For short answer, the grading is based on a rubric instead of a specific answer, so variations in answer will be accepted.
Do players need to be signed in to join a Knowt Play session?
No, players do not need to be signed in to join Knowt Play unless the host specifically chooses the option in the game lobby to require players to sign in. This feature is only available for materials created inside a class. If material is outside a class, whoever has a code can join the game.
If someone who isn't supposed to be in the game joins, hosts can remove them.
Can I play Knowt Play by myself?
Knowt Play is intended as a group learning game, and currently doesn't have any games where the host can also play.
