What is Knowt Play?
Knowt Play turns flashcards, notes, assessments or any uploaded file into a live class game. Students join on their own devices with a 6-digit code at knowt.com/join, and you run the game from the host screen.
Game modes
Classic — the standard quiz; everyone answers each question.
Race — first to correctly answer all the questions wins; mistakes reset you.
Clash — an in-person, board-style team game.
Blitz — the most correct answers in a set time.
Survival — a wrong answer knocks you out.
How do I start a game?
Click Play on any assessment, Knowt Play on any flashcard set, or the green + button → Play to build a game from a topic or file. See How to host a Knowt Play game for the full walkthrough and Knowt Play game modes and settings for each mode's options.
Note: Playing from your existing flashcards, notes and assessments is unlimited on every plan; building games with AI from uploads uses your AI allowance on the free plan.
