Game Modes

Available game modes are Classic mode, Race Mode, and Jeopardy Mode

Classic Mode

In classic mode, the host's screen will display a question for a short time for players to read.

Once the timer is over, the question along with answer choices will display on the host's screen.

The players' screens will show just the corresponding answer choices, without text. The players need to be looking at the host's screen to be able to answer.

Once all players have answered or the timer runs out, the results for that question will be displayed, with counts for each answer.

For Classic mode, the number of questions as well as time per question can be modified. If a Knowt play session is created from a flashcard set or Note, the types of questions can also be modified. At the end of the game, a leaderboard will be shown and each player will see the answers for all their questions along with correct answers if they were incorrect.

Scoring is based on correctness as well as time taken, so players who answer quicker will get more points.

Race Mode

In Race mode, the host's screen just displays a leaderboard, and each player gets questions at their own pace. Once one player reaches the end, the game is over.

Jeopardy Mode

For Jeopardy mode, players can join to earn points and be split into teams, but All gameplay will be done on the host's screen.

For each selection, the host will see this screen where they can select if the team got the question correct or incorrect, or just skip. If the team gets it correct they'll get points. If they get it incorrect, they will lose points, and if they skip, they won't lose any points.

The size of the board and number of questions is customizable and the game flows based on the host's pacing.

Leaderboard

After the game, each player will see a summary of their own performance during the game. In the summary they will see every question along with their answer and the correct answer if they got it incorrect.
