How to navigate the writer portal
As a writer in the KnowtTaker Program, you will be utilizing the writer portal a lot to select units, submit notes, and much more. Pay attention to the instructions below to make the most out of the portal!
Available units
First Step
Log in to the writer portal with your full name and email that you applied to the program with.
Second Step
Click Available units if not already selected; you will be shown exam subjects you were approved to write notes for.
Third Step
Click an exam subject listed and select a unit.
Fourth Step
Click find and click your name, then hit done.
Fifth Step
Hit the purple select button to complete choosing the unit.
Sixth Step
Repeat this process for 3 units total if available (the portal will not let you select more than 3).
My units
First Step
Click My units.
Second Step
You will be shown the progress of your notes, and once you’re done writing for a unit, click the purple edit button next to the corresponding unit.
Third Step
Under completion status, select needs review and paste a Google docs link under Link for Review.
Fourth Step
Click the purple save button (note that you will get an email notification when your note is in review and when the review has been completed).
Fifth Step
Now at the top of the screen, click Reviewed exam units (to the right of In progress units) to see if the unit you submitted has been reviewed.
Sixth Step
After it has been reviewed, the completion status will state “Reviewed”; click the purple edit button to open up the Link submissions.
Seventh Step
Paste the Link to Knowt notes in the top textbox, then paste the Link to Knowt flashcards in the bottom textbox in order to continue.
Eighth Step
Click the purple save button.
Ninth Step
At the top of the screen, click Completed exam units to view the fully completed notes.
Payment info
First Step
On the top right of the screen next to the logout button, click your name.
Second Step
This will open up your personal info, payment channel, and balance as well.
Third Step
To edit your payment channel, click the X on the current channel and hit select to choose your desired channel.
Fourth Step
To edit your email or username associated with the account, just type in the corresponding boxes.
Fifth Step
Click the purple save button.
