Podcasts on Knowt

We've added podcasts to Knowt, so you can now create a podcast from any material you already have, or create one directly with AI!

Podcasts from Notes

  1. Open the note and click Podcast (+) in the right-hand panel (under Learn on a student account, or For Students on a teacher account)

  2. Fill out the "Generate a Podcast" popup to begin generation. You can customize:

    1. Choose a type of podcast:

      1. Conversational

      2. Q&A

      3. Story

      4. ASMR

      5. Gossip

    2. Duration (Auto by default)

    3. Grade level for the target audience

    4. Language

    5. (Optional) What the host of the podcast should focus on

  3. You'll get a popup confirming the podcast is being generated, and another one when it's done generating.

  4. Open the podcast by clicking on the same button that was used to create the podcast, it will now say "Open Podcast"

Podcasts from Flashcards

  1. Open the Flashcard set and click the Podcast study mode (it shows Add + until you've made one). It appears on your own sets only, not on other people's sets.

  2. Fill out the "Generate a Podcast" popup to begin generation. You can customize:

    1. Choose a type of podcast:

      1. Conversational

      2. Q&A

      3. Story

      4. ASMR

      5. Gossip

    3. Grade level for the target audience

    4. Language

    5. (Optional) What the host of the podcast should focus on

  4. Open the podcast by clicking on the same button that was used to create the podcast, it will now show 1 podcast created!

Note: On teacher accounts, making more than one podcast for the same note or flashcard set needs Knowt Ultra.

Podcasts from Scratch

Students: on the home page, click the Podcasts card under Learn & Create. Teachers: click the Podcasts card on your Home page, or click the green + button and choose AI Tools → Podcast Generator.

From there, fill out the information needed to generate the podcast which is the same as if generating from existing material, plus (in the teacher Podcast Generator) the Language and an optional Align to standards (select up to 3), but now the "What do you want it to be about" is a mandatory field.

You'll be sent to your home screen while the podcast loads, and once it does you'll get a popup showing that it's complete.

​The podcast generator will create a Note with a summary of the podcast, as well as the premade Podcast that can be accessed by clicking the purple "Podcast" button on the right side.
