These are the steps for inviting your students to your class on Knowt. You’ll have your students set up in no time!

Inviting students to your class

First Step

To begin the process of inviting students, on the homepage select the “Classes” tab right next to “Other files.”

Second Step

Select the class you created.

Third Step

On the “Dashboard” tab of your class, click “Invite Students” under Class Code & Link.

Fourth Step

Enter the email address of who Knowt should contact at your school (this can be your IT administrator, principal, superintendent, or another teacher). Knowt will reach out to your school’s contact so we can talk to them about protecting your students’ privacy for free.

Fifth Step

Click “Next” at the bottom to continue.

Sixth Step

You’ll have the option to send your school’s contact an email too, and earn 8,000 coins if they use your referral!

Seventh Step

Now, you can start setting up your classes and inviting your students. Click “Let’s set up my class!” to exit back to the Dashboard.

You should now see a class code which you can use to start inviting your students! There are two ways to do this, either Invite Students Through Link or Invite Students Through Class Code.

Select the “Classes” tab right next to “Other files” (you should be on it already).

Second Step

Select the class you would like to invite students to.

Third Step

Under Class Code & Link, click “Copy class link”.

Fourth Step

Send your students the copied link and have them click the link to login to Knowt. The link will send students to a page with the class code already inputted!

If they haven’t created an account yet, they can follow this article to sign up.

First Step

Select the “Classes” tab right next to “Other files”.

Select the class you would like to invite students to.

Third Step

Under Class Code & Link, click the class code (6-digit code).

Fourth Step

Send your students the class code (or have them scan the QR code) and have them login to Knowt.

Fifth Step

If they haven’t created an account yet, they can follow this article to sign up.

Sixth Step

Students will then navigate to the Classes tab on their account.

Seventh Step

Instruct them to press the ”+” button in the top right and click “Join Class.” Students will then enter the class code and click “Next.”

Eighth Step

Students will then select their class section, and click “Join Class” one more time to finish the process!
