During the chat

Kai starts the conversation and asks you guiding questions. The bar at the top shows which objective you're working on and how many are left. Click Speak on any of Kai's messages to hear it read aloud, or Switch to Voice to talk instead of type.

When you've finished, click Submit Session at the top right. Kai grades the chat in a few seconds.

Your results

You'll see your score, which numbered objectives you completed, and a summary of your Strengths, Areas of Improvement and Follow-Up, alongside your full conversation. If your teacher allowed more attempts, click Retry Chat Session to try again.

Note: All Chat Tutor conversations are monitored. Your teacher can read the transcript, and Knowt will alert them if anything unsafe or inappropriate comes up.
