Getting started
Open the flashcard set you want to study and click Call Kai — it's the first study mode at the top of the set.
Pick the options that fit your goals:
When is your exam? — set a date and Kai paces the session for it.
Length of Rounds — how many cards per round (7 by default).
Learning Options — study starred terms only, or shuffle terms.
Conversation Options — the Language Kai speaks with you.
Click Start to begin the call. Kai quizzes you out loud on your terms and definitions and keeps track of what you get right.
Your call history
Below the options, Previous Calls lists each session with the time spent and how many answers were correct, incorrect or skipped. Your Call Kai time also appears in the study-progress table on the set's page alongside Learn, Practice Test, Matching and Spaced Repetition.
Note: Call Kai on your own sets is part of Knowt Ultra. On flashcard sets and notes your teacher shares in class, it's free — though your teacher can restrict which study modes are available in the class.
Note: Don't see Call Kai (or Chat) at all? If your account is part of a school organization, your school's administrators may have turned it off in their organization settings. Ask your teacher or admin if you think it should be available.
