Differences between Student and Teacher Accounts

When you first sign up on Knowt, you'll be asked to choose either a "Student" or "Teacher" account. To better serve the needs of our users, each account type comes with certain, specific features, which we've outlined below.

When signing up, please make sure you choose the right account type for your needs as you will not be able to switch after you click "Next." If you accidentally chose incorrectly or need to switch for any reason, please reach out to our team via the built-in support chat here and we'll help!

Student Accounts

Exclusive to a student account are the following features:

  • Scan & Solve: take a picture of any problem/question and get an answer, similar practice questions, and a detailed video explanation of the concept

Teacher Accounts

Exclusive to a teacher account are the following features:

  • 30+ AI Tools designed to save teachers 10+ hours/week

  • Class creation

  • Chat Activities: interactive AI chats that teachers can assign to their students

  • Tracking student study progress on shared notes, flashcards, practice tests, & more

We hope that's helpful! Again, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team via the support chat if you have additional questions.
