Steps to check AI usage
Visit settings, go to the "Your Plan" tab, and scroll down to "AI usage."
Here you can view your usage for different types, such as Kai Complete, AI Summarizers, etc. Depending on your Knowt plan, your limits for these uses will differ.
What counts as AI usage?
Here's a breakdown of how AI usage works and what specifically counts as a use of AI.
General AI usage
Kai Complete: When you generate a new suggestion with Kai Complete, it will count as 1 use.
Flashcards/Tests from notes: Generating a practice test will count as 1 use.
Explain Why I'm Wrong/AI FRQ Grading: Clicking the buttons for these AI features will count as 1 use.
PDF/Video/PPT AI usage
Notes from PPTs/Videos/PDFs: When you use Kai to create a note from a PDF, it will count as 1 use.
Flashcards from PPTs/Videos/PDFs: When you use Kai to create a flashcard set from a PDF, it will count as 1 use.
Chat AI usage
Chat with AI: When you use Kai to chat about your video, PDF, or file, each chat will count as 1 use.
How to increase your AI usage limits
Tip: With limited AI usage on the free plan, you can subscribe to our Plus or Ultra plans to increase your limits! On our free plan, AI usage will reset every month.
Switch between plans on the plan page to view the different AI usage limits for each plan and each type.
Once you upgrade, your AI usage limits will be higher and you can view the respective limits through the Check AI usage button from the steps above whenever you want!
