Districts around the U.S. are asking vendors (like Knowt) to sign data privacy agreements to protect students' privacy. If you're an admin and don't have a data privacy agreement, click here.

Note: Signing a data privacy agreement is completely free and to your benefit!

After Knowt signs your district's agreement for free, you get these 4 important benefits:

  1. Removal of Targeted Ads

    1. Knowt will remove all targeted ads from your students' accounts.

  2. Disabled Public Profiles

    1. Students will not have discoverable profiles.

  3. Shared Files Turned Off

    1. Students can't send links to strangers.

  4. Students Cannot Purchase Subscriptions

    1. Purchasing will be disabled for individuals (besides teachers).

My school district doesn't have a data privacy agreement

If your district doesn't have a data privacy agreement, no need to worry, we will still enable the same benefits. All you have to do is complete the admin onboarding after your teacher invites you to Knowt! If a teacher hasn't invited you and you'd like these benefits, reach out to our team using the built-in support chat or schedule a meeting with our CEO and we'll enable them for you!
