How can I share my flashcards or notes?

You can share your flashcards with friends or with the entire Knowt community! To do this, follow these steps:

Sharing settings

  1. Find the file in your Materials, click its three-dot menu and choose Manage sharing (or click Share at the top of the file).

  2. Under Viewing access, choose who can see it: Public (visible in the Knowt library), Org (visible to teachers in your school), Private (only you and people you share with) or Password (anyone with the link and the password).

  3. Click Copy link to share it, then Done.

Anyone you share with can view and study the file, but not edit it. All sharing options are free for students.

Note: For teachers, Private and Password sharing are part of Knowt Ultra. Teachers can also assign the file to a Class from the same dialog.

Tip: Teachers: the quickest way to share with students is to send them the file's URL. Students need to be logged in to study it, and all their progress is tracked on that link — you'll see it in your class analytics.
