I moved a file to my class and now I don’t see it

Did you move a file into your class? A file can only be in one spot at once. That’s why you don’t see it under the “Other files” tab anymore! When you move a file into your class, the location of the file changes to inside that class, rather than the “Other files” tab.

My files on Quizlet show up in both locations but not in Knowt?

On Quizlet you may have noticed that your file will show up in both locations (your library as well as the class). Knowt operates differently, and we make sure that your file only shows up where you decided to move it.

This way, you’ll always know where your file is located. To have your file moved back to “Other files” from within a class, follow the steps below!

How to move a file back from a Class to “Other files”

First Step

On the homepage, select the “Classes” tab right next to “Other files”.

Second Step

Select the class you moved your file into.

Third Step

Locate the file you would like to move.

Fourth Step

Click the more actions button (3 dots icon) located on the top right of the file card.

Fifth Step

Click “Move to”.

Sixth Step

Select “Other files”.

Seventh Step

Click “move here” at the bottom right of the page.

That’s it! You should see your file back in the “Other files” section. Try refreshing your page if it doesn’t appear instantly.
