How to join a class and find your assignments

Join your teacher's class with a code or link, and find the assessments, chat tutors and writing assignments they've set.

Joining a class

  1. Click Classes in the left sidebar, then Join a class.

  2. Type the 6-character class code your teacher gave you and click Confirm Code. (If your teacher sent a link instead, just open it.)

  3. Pick your section or period from the dropdown and click Confirm Code again.

  4. You'll see "You have successfully joined the class!" and land on the class page.

Finding your assignments

Every class has two tabs at the top:

  • Class Material — notes, flashcard sets and files your teacher has shared. If it's empty, check back later.

  • Assessments & Chat Tutors — everything you've been assigned. Switch between Assessment, Chat Tutor and Writing Feedback to see each type, with your score, start and end times and status.

Click any row to open the assignment. You can also get to a specific assignment directly from a join link (www.knowt.com/join/…) or QR code your teacher shares.

Tip: Joining a class counts toward your daily streak, and your teacher can see your progress on everything you complete in the class.
